Holiday Bites + Mocktail with Michigan Apples
Apples are undoubtedly my favorite ingredient to bake with and to craft delightful creations. I used Honeycrisp Michigan apples to prepare the trio of festive bites and a mocktail that I’m sure you’ll enjoy just as much as I did (you can find the full video on my Instagram - here). Find the recipes and instructions below!
Apple Crescent Rolls
Crescent rolls
2 tablespoons of butter
1 honeycrisp Michigan apple
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
A pinch of nutmeg
A pinch of sea salt
Put it all together…
Begin by cutting your apple into thin slices.
In a bowl, combine the butter with the sliced apples to ensure they are well-coated.
In a small bowl, blend together the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sea salt.
Spoon a portion of the cinnamon mixture onto the bottom of your raw crescent dough.
Place several apple slices on top of the cinnamon layer in each piece of dough and roll them up.
Bake according to the instructions for the crescent rolls (I baked mine at 375°F for 14 minutes, or until they achieved a golden brown color).
Optional: Drizzle caramel over the rolls right after they come out of the oven, and enjoy!
Charcuterie Cups
A variety of cheeses
Pepperoni or salami
Olives
Sweet gherkins
Crackers
Mini candy canes
Festive paper cups
Michigan apples
Minimal instruction needed…
This process is quite straightforward: simply prepare your usual charcuterie items and arrange them in a cheerful manner. I discovered toothpicks and paper cups at my local HomeGoods/TJMaxx, but you can likely find similar items at various stores! The delightful sweetness of a Michigan apple ties everything together beautifully. Your guests will be impressed and think you spent a lot of time on this, when in truth, it requires minimal effort.

Start by lining the inside of your glass with a drizzle of caramel.
Next, fill the glass to the brim with ice.
Pour ginger beer to fill half of the glass.
Top off the remaining space with sparkling cider.
Use a cookie cutter to create an apple garnish.
Add a cinnamon stick and finish off with that delightful Michigan apple garnish. It's that easy!
